Dès 1570 la famille GILLE est présente à Comblanchien. L'exploitation s'étend sur10 Ha, 27 parcelles pour 14 Appellations. Ce domaine, entièrement planté en Pinot noir et Chardonnay, se caractérise par des vignes très anciennes. Le cycle de la fermentation se réalise dans le respect du terroir. L'élevage des vins en fûts de chêne, dure de douze à vingt quatre mois. La mise en bouteille est faite au Domaine.
Since 1570 the GILLE family is present in Comblanchien. Operations cover10 ha, 14 AOC, divided in 27 plots. This area, planted entirely in Pinot noir is characterized by very old vines. The cycle of fermentation is led in respect of the tradition. Maturing takes place in oak barrels during twelve to twenty four months. Finaly, the wine is carefully bottled at the Estate.
Famille Gille est installée à Comblanchien depuis 1570, écrit le journaliste régional François Guillaume, dans son Histoire de la Côte d'Or. Il note qu'en 1851, elle était déjà la seule famille du XVIe siècle encore présents dans ce village.
Vivant Gille (1877 - 1938) a déménagé dans le village pour s'installer sur la Nationale aujourd'hui nommée "Route des Grands Crus". Il a aussi restructuré le vignoble du domaine.
Pierre Gille a développé le vignoble en achetant des 1er Crus et un Grand Cru. Il agrandit actuellement l'infrastructure par l'achat de locaux dans la célèbre ville de Nuits St Georges, et.
Une autre passion s'est glissée dans la famille: l'aéronautique.
- Henry Gille, père de Pierre, était pilote de chasse avant de succéder à son propre père.
- Pierre Gille, était pilote de ligne à Air France pendant 30 ans, avant de retourner à la propriété.
- Matthieu Gille, son fils, a travaillé pour la NASA et est également pilote privé.

Gille’s family had been settled in Comblanchien since 1570, the regional journalist François Guillaume wrote in his History of Côte d'Or (the “Golden hill” region). He noted that in 1851 it was already the only family from the XVIth century still present in this village.
Vivant Gille (1877 - 1938) moved the premises in the village to set them up on the border of “Route des Grands Crus”, and restructured the vineyards.
Pierre Gille is now extending the premises to the famous city of Nuits St Georges, and has developed the vineyards with 1er Cru and Grand Cru.
